This Web site is maintained by the Water Rats Parents Club.

The Club is not a department of the Westport Weston Family Y. The Parents Club is a separate entity, which was established in the late 1980s to support the activities of the Water Rat Swim Team.

Because a small, vocal minority of town residents has lined up against the Westport Weston Family Y, the Water Rat Swim Team is now in danger of becoming homeless. The 210 members of the Water Rat Swim Team – which consistently ranks among the best in New England – fear their team will cease to exist if the Westport Weston Family Y does not receive permission to build a new facility on its Mahackeno campsite.

That is why the Parents Club is working to educate Westport residents about the proposed Family Y facility at Camp Mahackeno.
